Time Is Never Time At All

So I was wrong.

No surprise.

Amount of hours stayed awake does not equates existence.

It doesn't mean that if you fight to sleep only two hours a day, you are existing twenty two hours a day. It doesn't work that way.

That is only barely existing. Time zombie.

Existence is all about passion. If you are passionate enough about something, two hours would seemed like a lifetime.

  1. existence is just being there. so wether or not you are asleep, you've achieved it already.
now, LIVING, that's different. that's where "passion" kicks in. As Jack London said:

I would rather be ashes than dust!
I would rather that my spark should burn out
in a brilliant blaze than it should be stifled by dry-rot.
I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom
of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet.
The function of man is to live, not to exist.
I shall not waste my days trying to prolong them.
    I shall use my time.
