Meaningless sex.It is an oxymoron.
Even reproductive sex means something.
Does everything has to mean something? Every single act a motive, every breath an impulse?
Then humanity will soon crush under its own weight.
Therefore meaningless sex is a subconscious defiance against rationalism.
But then it won't be meaningless after all.
And it is not sex anymore.

a. meaningless sex is a discovery that after sex, you feel as empty and unfamiliar as before. just wipe and left as if the act had never exist before. sometimes it's curiously exciting to jump into bed with strangers for one night stands, yet always it must have felt there was nothing to begin with. you wake up from your 3 second orgasm unhappy and unfulfilled.
ReplyDeleteb) according to my chain of rationalization, if meaningless sex is perceived to rebel against the notion that everything in this world should be meaningful, then at that moment ironically it would be meaningful because now it has a new meaning - the act itself now defies justifications (the humanity incessant need to make sense of everything)
then when it has a meaning to it, it shall not be 'meaningless sex' anymore.
and when this 'sex' is implied on a larger context as a notion against conventionalism, then the act itself is no longer sexual.
