The Mist had just joined that privileged club.
It's ending had bothered me and frankly it was unacceptable to a degree. But it grew on me and I had decide to like it for its boldness, for it's darkness and for everything it stood prejudiced against.
Watching The Mist had been enjoyable. Very. I had never squirmed, hollered, clapped and swore so much during a public movie sitting.
I'm getting the DVD.
thanks for the review. wonder if it beats cloverfield. heard that cloverfield sucks.
ReplyDeletegoing to watch the mist :)
cloverfield is just meaningless... the mist is in a league of its own man...
ReplyDeletethe ending... sigh... it was too morbid for me...
anyway... i wonder how it's like to date stephen king? i would loe to dig his brains a little... hahahah...
stephen kings ending is simpler. they just rode into the mist, facing the unknown. the end.
ReplyDeletei like this ending because now the hero is fallible. his decision which may seem heroic at first is now rash and foolish. he had been leading them further and further away from help in the first place. it's fuckup becos it's real. we are all not heroes. we are just stupid humans.
but i'm not going to watch it because i exactly know how it ends.
ReplyDeletepossessing the knowledge of the ending will not in anyway affect the joy of watching this film.
